See, you can go to tomcat->webapps-> see if you find the MobileServer, MobileOTA14 , MobileBIService folders, this would mean that the SAP BusinessObjects Mobile is installed but may need configuration over ipad like Mobile App installation on ipad and setting up connection.
You can also check by going to CMC-> SAP BusinessObjects Mobile to confirm if it is installed.
to check the version installed, you can use this link from ipad to confirm whether the SAP BusinessObjects Mobile is same as CMS

If you are on linux and assuming you are on service pack where SAP BO Mobile is integrated but not installed, , then you can run ./modifyOrRemoveProducts.sh script and open webtier and select Mobile Servcies and continue with the usual installtion.
